Many Seat Alhambra and VW Sharan 7N vehicles experience refrigerant leaks in the rear air conditioning circuit. The most common causes are corroded rear A/C lines or failure of the auxiliary rear evaporator. Repairing these components often requires replacement of long refrigerant lines or major system work, resulting in high costs.
This block-off kit provides a practical alternative by permanently disabling the rear A/C circuit while maintaining full functionality of the front air conditioning system. The rear lines are removed in the engine bay and replaced with the supplied aluminum block-off plugs and sealing rings.
The kit replaces sealing rings corresponding to OEM references 3D0260749C and 4E0260749A. Once installed, the rear system is sealed off and refrigerant loss caused by rear circuit damage is eliminated. After conversion, the required R134a refrigerant charge is approximately 300 g less than the original full system specification (value tested but provided without guarantee).
This solution is intended for vehicles equipped with factory rear A/C systems and offers a cost-efficient repair approach when rear cooling is no longer required.
