This short shifter is engineered for vehicles equipped with the M32 6-speed manual gearbox. It reduces the physical movement of the gear lever by approximately 35%, resulting in shorter, more direct gear changes and improved shift precision.
Manufactured from solid aluminum bar stock rather than cast material, the unit offers increased strength and long-term durability. The thicker construction reduces the risk of failure under demanding driving conditions. Each component is CNC-machined to ensure precise fitment and smooth operation.
Installation is performed beneath the gear lever assembly. The heat shield and plastic cover near the exhaust tunnel must be removed to access the mounting area. The black plastic cover requires cutting in the center or complete removal prior to installing the aluminum plate.
The modification is fully reversible and does not require permanent changes to the gearbox itself. The original configuration can be restored at any time.
